The Filmlings is a podcast dedicated to analyzing film in context. Each episode features a discussion of several movies that are all related in some way – usually by director, thematic content, source material, sequels, or cast/crew.
The show is hosted by long-time friends Alex Geringer and Jonathan Satchell, who have both studied film academically and independently through their dialogues across more than 150 episodes of this show looking at over 500 films to date.
ALEX has many years of experience working on the post-production side of Hollywood. If he’s not watching or talking about movies, he’s probably out hiking the mountains of Washington state with his husky Suki.
JONATHAN is a North Texas-based freelance video editor, motion graphics artist, and videographer. When not watching or talking about movies, he can be found reading whatever book the film was based on, or playing board games with his family.
